Hey, if you're going as far back as Ehrgeiz, PICK A BETTER GAME.
Tobal. Einhander. Vagrant Story. All Square, not FF, and leagues better than Ehrgeiz. And I love Ehrgeiz's dungeon. But face facts, man. Woman.
Front Mission is great if you want a change to all the medieval grid-based SRPGs. FM: Evolved? That's not the same genre and not made by SE proper. There is no reason to think it will be of the same calibre besides wishful thinking at this point.
That didn't answer much at all, unfortunately.
I don't really disagree at all. For all the hype, MS and Sony's motion efforts will either blow away or fall as hard as Wii (perceptually speaking).
I'm all for positivity and possibility, but I think I may have earned the right to my scepticism after decades of underused and ill-thought peripherals all claiming to 'expand the way we play'. But scepticism is not indifference and certainly not bashing. I hope more than 1st party devs will take advantage of the tech and find genuin...
Yes, they changed the art style. It is actually pretty old news:

First off, PC gaming is not for everyone. Some people aren't willing to learn, which is why consoles are the gaming norm now.
If you're a PC gamer, I agree, the sacrifices are fewer if you get a PS3 instead of a 360. MS purposefully made their 360 similar to a PC to encourage the back and forth. There are drawbacks (like that damned timed exclusivity) but at the end of the day, 360 and PC are basically siblings.
It's a WWII strategy game with Axis and Allied units portrayed as pretty girls. Unless you find the very idea of making a brutal war into a beauty contest offensive (which I could understand), there's no sense in taking offence to only the nazi representations.
So what the heck does Angel of KOF have to do with anything?
All Nomura.
One of my favourite games. I actually did a good bit of fan art for it. Definitely one of the best WoD games, I think. RIP Troika.
The changes are pretty subtle. They didn't really add to it more than detail what was already there. You'd probably need a side-by-side to even notice. The biggest change is in the fox's saturation and the globe's highlight which makes the contrast jump enormously, for better or worse.
In the scheme of things I could care less though. As long as the browser delivers, which it does.
Edit: Here's a side-by-side
This kind of thing makes my head hurt. Someone quotes something out of context, puts their spin on it, and you assume the article isn't worth reading.
You're taking that totally the wrong way. It's not about the PS2 being 'fragile' it's about the realisation that nothing lasts forever. That's his entire basis for wanting emulation.
I'm ambivalent because for one, I'm used to unlocking characters and it adds some replay value. On the other hand, if that frees the devs up to make something a bit more worthwhile to unlock, I don't mind.
This is Namco we're talking about and their two big fighters (Soul Calibur and Tekken) have always had ambitious features besides unlocking characters. T5 came with 4 full unlockable games, people. While I don't know if they can match that with T6 (the can definitely try on the...
I was gonna call you lazy, greek, but damned if that isn't an annoying way to publish an article.
I'm not surprised at all. There's no doubt this will be top notch. AC!D was incredible provided the different gameplay didn't throw you. I've no worry that a more traditional MGS on PSP will be anything less than stellar visually and technically. Kojima is all about pushing the limits with MGS.
No new info, just a bunch of fan speculation.
It wouldn't call it crap or the best thing ever made because it's exclusive.
It is a niche title you'll either love or hate. Did you enjoy finding all the snapshot locales in GTA: San Andreas? The game is pretty much that, driving included. Definitely won't appeal to all.
Tbh, I don't see how the game looks ugly or blocky. It looked pretty nice from all those videos I watched on youtube.
The plaintiffs have been at this since 2004 which is two years after the début of Live. From what I've seen it's not that unusual for it to take a year or two to pool your resources before launching an infringement suit.
Seriously, if you can take the time to write a comment, take time to at least read the blurb. You all want to accuse MS of foul play, but you neglect to see both Sony and MS are at risk. Clearly stated in the blurb alone.
The guy sued both. Sony settled this year. He's also brought a new lawsuit against the two since they've since come out with new consoles running on what he says is his same idea.
"Final Fantasy Gaiden is a DS RPG in which players take control of a 14-year-old boy tasked with saving a princess."
*sigh*
I know it's old school, but c'mon SE. Even NIS publishes more progressive games than that. Hoping to hear more.

I've got no sympathy for this guy.
He's a bonehead who made a boneheaded decision, got caught, and is trying to work the system instead of just getting over it and moving on. He got caught with his hand in the jar. He's lucky he hasn't (to my knowledge) been hit with the legal repercussions for piracy (why, I dunno). He intentionally and maliciously defamed himself when he as a professional pirated a film. What's worse, he reviewed an unfinished copy so he didn't even do his job ...
